[cross-posted from my normal journal because....i don't know. i felt like it, there]

Myspace is being anal, as usual. All I wanted to do was change "Checkpoint" to "Elora" (Yes, they changed names a couple of months ago. I'm slow, ok?), but noooo, myspace decided to have a power trip on me.

Wow. I've lost it. I'm seriously getting mad at an inanimate object...actually, it's not even technically an object. So really, I'm getting mad at a collection of computers, wiring, and software. Pretty soon I'll be sitting in a white padded room. I never got the padding...I mean, maybe if the person was self-destructive it would make sense, but for your run-of-the-mill psycho, it's not really neccesary. Plus, I bet it would be really easy to tear them open and start flinging white fluff around everywhere. Of course, after doing that you might be staying for a little longer than expected.

Speaking of padded rooms and psychos, did you hear what they decided as far as Martha Stewart? She got 6 months (I think 6) in "Camp Cupcake" (what the media has jokingly called the prison because it's a low-security prison that's rather nice compared to your average jail house). I think that's rather funny. Martha Stewart in jail...who would have seen that coming? On the other hand, she always did creep me out.

And on to more current events, did anyone see the footage of the SpaceShip One launch today? It was their second launch in less than 2 weeks, which means they won the $10 Million X-Prize. Of course, it really wasn't for the money. The money was just an incentive to jump-start the private space travel industry. They're saying that by 2007, a hundred grand will get you a ride into suborbital space. Which is pretty damn good, considering the 20 million that one guy paid to fly with the russians. My guess is that it will actually be sooner...the craft is incredibly safe and they're easy to build. They could theoretically have a fleet by the end of the year.

Ok. I'm gonna stop rambling. I just found all that stuff interesting. On to today.

Today was good. Bio was ok, I don't really enjoy breaking up into groups where people refuse to cooperate though. Band was good. I love not being in marching band but still playing the music in class. Vorwald stopped us at some point and asked the horns to play this one rather easy lick. He went down the line, starting with Justin. Once Justin got it right after a couple of tries, he went to point at me, then realized that he can't really test me on it, and moved on to Joy. I found it rather funny. We also got more concert music today: HELL YES! Cuban Overture sounds like it'll be good, and I'm not so sure about Escapade. He seems to have taken a different course on the music this year; the last few years it's been powerful yet very melodic, which I liked. This year, it seems to be far more syncopated and with less sound, as in only a few sections play at a time (it sounds thin). The music doesn't seem to flow as well and doesn't have that oomph to it. But maybe once we work it all out I'll like it better. But I'm still campaigning for him to play Life Dances again...it's such a cool piece of music. Enough band geek.

Lunch was hysterical. Someone mentioned something about homecoming, and Jordan got the brilliant idea to nominate Alex (Feisure) for homecoming court. We thought it was great: we could get all the band people to vote for him and he might stand a chance of winning. And think how funny it would be if he did win...besides him getting very pissed at us, I'd love to see what he'd do to the ASB people. Haha. But when all like 10 of us got to the little table thing, they told us we could only nominate Seniors. That sucks. But anyway, we decided on some other good people to nominate. We started with Miguel Rojas (the horn player), then Dereck and Kara (ex-boyfriend/girlfriend, we thought that would be funny). I seriously hope one of them gets it, I'd laugh my ass off. So I guess a bunch of us will be going, should be fun. Does anyone know what the theme is supposed to be? It's not that Neverland crap, is it?

And after that I just had math analysis. Once again, I did nothing and still managed to understand the whole thing. That class is really starting to annoy me because of the sheer lack of any form of difficulty.

With that said, I'm gonna go finish some spanish homework. Later

Well once again, this hasn't been updated in like 11 days, but my other journal is really where i update.

So I guess I'll just ramble on about my life. Friday I went to school for some odd reason. Before I went to the game I dropped by Best Buy to grab an application since I have some free time and money is always a good thing (and they pay $10 an hour plus 50% discounts!). Unfortunatly, they're not hiring. That sucked. Then I went over to the game and got there fairly early, but the lot was already full so I ended up parking on one of the sidestreets, which probably isn't the best idea later at night in the middle of Vista but oh well, the car and I survived.

The game itself was ok, Vista was getting it's ass kicked for awhile (defense totally broke down on one play and the opposing QB made a 75 yard touchdown). But before halftime they had caught up and were actually winning. The half time show was ok...the music was good but the marching needs a lot of cleaning, which is expected since they did all the way up to the middle of the third movement already. Then I left at halftime because I wasn't all that interested in the game, but it turns out Vista won. I literally can't remember Saturday at all; all I know is that I didn't do any homework (*hint*foreshadowing*hint*). Sunday was good. Church was cool, it was mostly just music and Brian doing a sermon sort of thing within the music, different but really good. Afterwards, I procrastinated some more.

Around 5:30 I went to the brass choir rehearsel at the Mormon church...it's kind of weird being the only Christian there but whatever. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but the other day in my band locker I found a piece of paper with some pems about Jesus and a casette tape with something about Jesus on it. It could be the paranoia speaking, but I get the sneaking suspicion that they're trying to witness to me. Needless to say, I took them without reading them and put them in Justin's locker, just because that's where all the random stuff found in lockers ends up. But their effort to witness to me is totally futile, because I'm perfectly secure in my faith and I already know their religion pretty well and to me it sounds like a bunch of bs...sure, there are multiple levels of heaven. And if you were a really good mormon, you get to go rule your own planet! Yeah, right. Keep thinking that. Then there's the little thing at the end of the Bible, the last words of the Bible, which basically states that anyone who adds, changes, or otherwise tampers with it will be screwed. Then explain why in the 1800's God would suddenly change his mind and tell John (or is it Jebediah? I can't remember) Smith to take away the New Testament and replace it with his own crap? That would mean God made a mistake, and I seriously doubt any being such as Him would suddenly second guess Himelf. Plus, Mormons advocate and stress believing in Jesus (as evidenced by the stuff found in my locker), yet I'm a christian. CHRISTian. Duh, no need to tell me about Jesus, thanks. Sorry for going off on a religion tangent, but that whole thing made me laugh and this is my journal so I get to write whatever I want. And I wouldn't want to put it in my other journal because some of my friends who are mormons would read it. So anyway, we rehearsed a bit and it actually sounded pretty ok. Then we went in with the choir (which was HUGE, like 150+ teenagers) and played. It went pretty well, no one fell apart or totally missed their part. And the choir sounds amazing. So hopefully it'll all sound good at the concert thingy.

And today. Well I was up till 12 doing homework since I'm a freaking procrastinator, and then woke up at 5:30 to do even more homework. Spanish was ok, we did oral presentations (96/100, hell yes) and reviewed for the test. History was great as always, with Mr. Domingo's psychotic personality. English was banal and drabe, but it's english, what do you expect? And now I really should start my history DBQ...hmm. Maybe later.

I feel guilty since I haven't updated this is in...I don't know....forever?

But since I have nothing to write really, I'm gonna type up some of the quotes from my history teacher, Mr. Domingo. The guy is absolutly hilarious.

-He tells us that we should have gotten this handout from Mr. Green last year. We tell him we hadn't. He walks over to the door, opens it wide open, and screams "Mr. Green, YOU BLEW IT!!!" out into the hallway. I wonder if Mr. Green actually heard him, but I'll bet all the other teachers think he's psychotic because he ends up yelling and banging his stick against things a lot.

-Talking about how many children someone had. Someone mentions they someday want 25 children (jokingly, of course). Mr. Domingo goes off on a tangent about some lady who had 25 kids and the labor involved. "After a while, it was probably like 'bombs away!'"

I'm sure there was more but I didn't write them down.

Other than that, today was ok. Homework load hasn't been too bad lately, but that's probably just because I've put off all my big assignments. Come Sunday night, I'll be freaking out. Oh well. English today was interesting, we did another free write thing as we listened to "Rhapsody in Blue". The scary thing was that someone had burned one of last year's pieces of music from marching band onto the cd, and we heard the first two notes of the track before she skipped it. Every band geek in the class (about 30% of the class) instantly cringed. After school, Jordan and I went to Roosevelt to play a little tackle football with Alastaire and a bunch of other people (Maria even came after Jordan jokingly invited her, which was good because no one would tackle her). It was actually really fun. Besides screwing up my knee badly and being a bit sore from being sacked by Jon (one of the varsity players), I came away virtually unscathed..

So I think that's about it. You'll have to excuse me for the random babbling.

Prove or disprove that using any method you want...doesn't necesarily have to be mathematical.

And on a sidenote, I'm currently half way through my english essay, then I have to read/outline 10 pages of history, then outline an essay for history. And it's 9:15. Sometimes procrastination really sucks.
